Surprise visitor

Got the chairs, tablecloths, cutlery, red tablecloths, cushions, serviettes, wipes - and food - out and on the trolley. Down at 11:30 to help prepare.

Mr B insisted on wheeling the trolley down, despite pleas, no help wanted. He was almost at the table, and the tray with my vegan schnitzels, all 20 or so, tipped onto the ground. I could have cried, all that ‘hard’ work … and was so looking forward to eating them (not all 20). :(

Regained my composure. Luckily there was more food than needed. And fun was had by all. As expected, Her Majesty kept a discreet distance. Nice of her to visit though.

Rain arrived, later than forecast, at around 4pm. So a mad dash to clear up. ‘S’ & ‘M’ invited us and a couple of others to continue drinking Bellinis up in their flat.

Now back home. And happy we’ll have a quiet week ahead - just what I need.
