Morning visit

Reading from my laptop a sudden shadow fell from my windowscreen and I looked up. Mr. Heron had landed down thro' my view and landed on my balcony; he didn't wink with his eye when I got up to catch my camera and get this portrait of him. Between us the glass window, but our distance here is 3½ meters at the most.~ he stayed here for some 15 minutes.

The weather is again not very Summerly with 15°C; cloudy, windy and the odd drizzle of rain.... good for the dry land tho'
