Partly a Story

What story connects these two objects? The leaf is from an oak tree that has seeded itself in the rockery by the pond. The stone is from the beach at Portwrinkle in Cornwall. The connection for me was that they took me back to my schooldays when we had a young metalwork teacher from Wales who was interested in Jewellery and old cars. He had an old Ford 8 in the workshop which some of us helped him to slowly restore. The connection though between the two objects is that we often made rings, broaches and pendants in his classes, and this reminded me of the design aspect of this activity.
