Good news!

I heard something on the wireless the other day where they debunked the idea that when cows lay down it means that rain is coming. It was pointed out that cows lay down at all sorts of times and while it will sometimes coincide with rain there isn't a causal link.

Anyway, the big news. The gas works folk came and closed the hole outside my front door and tarmacked it shut. The barriers are still up while the tarmac goes off but I might be able to use the front door again soon.
