254 Of 365: My Wee Drone

Been flying this type of drone for around 3.5 years now and am more than happy with its performance. This one is actually a replacement for one I lost at Ironbridge last year.

I was flying backwards from the bridge, shooting video in what filmmakers call "the revealing shot". That means as the camera pulls back from the subject more and more of the surrounding area is revealed.

What I didn't realise was that the drone was getting close to trees on the other side of the river and clipped a branch. This caused the drone to flip over and drop into the river, never to be seen again.

As I still had emails concerning the purchase of the drone and video of the sudden drop into the river, my insurers made me happier by paying out for my loss.

The drone pictured above was duly bought from a seller down south and flies every bit as well as my lost aircraft.
