Finally a day when we felt fit enough to be tourists, so headed off to The House of Bruar. When we arrived I was amazed to see a lady sitting at one of the courtyard tables with this owl on the chair next to her.

Turned out Moonstone is a rescued owl and she is absolutely stunning! It was an absolute delight to be able to get so close and to be able to take a few photos.
