Slow Start

I noticed this sluggish bee on the railing of our small front porch shortly before 9 a.m. today, and quickly went into the house to get my camera. 

She was slow-moving, and I was able to take close-up photos from several angles, which I really enjoyed. With cropping, I was able to see fascinating detail -- bees are so other-worldly looking!

In the extras are a head-on view -- so strange-looking! -- and another similar to today's blip, but taken closer to her.I'm also fascinated by the bee's long thin legs and tiny feet (that's what the end of her legs look like to me), and now want to read more about bees.

It was a lovely way to start the day!
