Gletscherseeli

A super day out with our guests, an early start with a super drive up to the Klausenpass, 1982m. We had to stop a few times, it was the day when all the cows returned to the summer alpine pastures. First stop was coffee, self ground and brewed on the MSR stove just below the pass, with fresh croissants. At the pass, we started our hike up to the Gletscherseeli. There were lots of snow passages to cross, and like last week, thousands of alpine flowers. MrS went ahead, and surprised us all with a bottle of chilled Chardonnay just above the lake. It was really hot and sunny, and the views of Clariden and the glacier were fabulous. We drove home, and made a stop in Altdorf, at the cafe, then had fondue.
