Canal maintainance

We decided, after much puzzlement, that this is a special purpose boat for cutting weeds from the canal bottom - it had fronted up beside the lift bridge for adjustments with a large spanner. There's room to turn a boat at that point. Just before this we watched the All Aboard, usually moored at Polwarth, taking a group under the Viewforth bridge .. cheerful waves all around. (extra)

Swam at Dalry earlier - it was quieter at 9.15 than at 08.00, so might try that time again.
