More Beaver Trouble At Mill

Didn't realise when taking this photo on the evening's walk that the large new tree planting along this stretch of the Schwelk river upstream from the village and close to us, came about as a result of a beaver family having been moved out.

I have bliped in the last years many of the trees damaged here, but moving a beaver is a highly unusual event as they are protected. It was organised by the parish council, having got permission from the council Beaver Inspector. There is however, no property under threat from the beaver.

This helps to explain the events that have happened/are about to happen at our property where they are hesitant to move the beaver, although there is a potential threat to property - OURS! Must add, we are happy to keep ours.
