Day trip to Bournemouth

Having shielded and tested for 4 days, I drove down and back in a day, to spend some time with my dear friend L who has stage 4 cancer, and her partner P. She has lost none of her quick sense of humour and we laughed a lot - but we also talked about funerals, finance and so on. We went out for a very fine lunch, sitting outside in dappled shade, in a quiet area. She took up stained glass art a few years ago, and this is one of the pieces she made.  I love it.
