Cambridge
The view of Cambridge from the top of the motte upon which Cambridge Castle was built. This is probably the highest land in Cambridge.
The stone from the castle was used to build some of the colleges and churches.
Later, the County Court and Gaol were built on the site. When they were demolished, Shire Hall, the current home of the county council, was built from material from the gaol.
