Elder

This is a Sambucus Nigra (Black Lace) or Black Elder. About 10 years ago, we were given some cuttings by kind people whom we used to stay with at their B&B in Highcliffe. When we planted the cuttings we weren’t actually sure which was top and bottom but fortunately, one of the cuttings took hold and today it is a small tree which has very attractive flower heads at this time of year.
