Santa Clara - Day 2
We spent about 5 hours at the morning hide being entertained by an array of birds including several boisterous Green Jays. We were about to call it a morning at 4 hours when a group of Javelina (small wild peccary) showed up which resulted in hundreds of images being fired rapidly by all. Shooting from a ground-level hide is pure magic as you are right at eye level with everything. What fun!
We came back for a wonderful lunch and are just getting ready to head out to one of the afternoon hides where we will shoot until about 8 tonight.
I have many, many more pictures to post but that will wait until I get home. Except for a shot of a Bronzed Cowbird strutting his stuff and a young Golden Fronted Woodpecker trying to eat a rock - see Extra.
And one of the other photographers gifted us all with delicious dark chocolate from Costa Rica - yum!
