The side passage

June, they say, is the month for flowers. The Valerian and the Welsh Poppies are out, self seeded. I love the way they take over the side passage by our house, asserting their right to be there.

The back gate was once a decorated wrought iron feature but now we have Basil, and we had to erect barriers to stop him breaking free.

In other news, the first batch of new mousetraps has arrived. One rodent down already.

I took William to Braunstone Pool for his swimming lesson today. Amazing how the time goes.
