Walking By

We visited Anstruther briefly this afternoon. The Fish Bar was the only bright spot in an otherwise dismal, dreich, dripping-wet day. We had no intention of having fish and chips for tea, but, unlike the lady here, we were drawn in. We bought one portion to share, and it contained 3 fish. I suppose business was slack because the weather kept the tourists away.  I don't think I've ever seen it without a queue half-way along the street.

Our plan for the day had been to get the bus along the coast, hopping on and off at Crail, St Monance, Pittenweem, etc - but it was too wet to contemplate standing at bus-stops. Maybe we'll come back and do that another time.
