Not A Great Start
I had plans to photograph the unfurling ferns in the garden this morning when the sun was hitting them.
Obviously that wasn't going to happen.
When I was coming in before I going soaked through I saw a bit of 'twigage' with moss on it which had obviously missed going into the garden waste - so I picked it up and went and upstairs and did some 'still life' shots. I even went back out and grabbed a couple of 'wild' flowers to add to it .... along with some slate. I think this one may be the most successful - I like the peeling bark.
SWMBO was wanting to get some new trainers so we went down to the Centre. The only advantage for me was I bought some marker pens (and I know that she bought fancy chocolates so she can't hide them all).
I also stopped and bought some mounting board for a couple of prints I am going to mount.
On the way home we went to the local rum distiller (we really liked one of their products that we tasted at Bags' the other day).
During conversation we mentioned Bags' name and his face lit up. Before anything could be said his partner phoned and it was a case of 'Guess who I am talking to ....... Bags' parents". The delight was obvious even over the phone. It turned out that the card reading machines were all at home with the partner so he was unable to take a payment, However, he took SWMBO'se-mail address and we left with a bottle of what we were after.
How much does Bags buy from them? was what went through my mind.
Somespinning tops were made this afternoon and now I am sitting having a very pleasant rum.
