Mahatma

Back in Manchester and staying in the city centre this week. I took a walk up to the Cathedral, which disappointed from the outside at least (it was closed so I couldn't go in). It is surrounded by shops and offices and is in need of a good clean of its stonework. It is also closer to a parish church in size than a cathedral.

This statue of Gandhi is outside, I'm not sure what he would have thought about the location of this, he was not a fan of Christianity, associating it with the British rule in India that he fought against.
