Pickup

Tanzania takes pole position of ‘countries where completely random people call your number seemingly to say hello repeatedly.’

In the early hours of the morning I could be found at the airport, collecting my friend John who has flown in as part of a multi-leg tour. We will do some Tanzania explorations when I’m not working and he’ll occupy himself when I am. Apparently airport security don’t like people napping in vehicles in the car park whilst they’re waiting for their visitors to emerge from arrivals. Apart from that, the pickup went without a hitch.

The backstreets of the suburb where our office is have a laidback semi-rural feel. Complete with masses of electrical cables.
