On the Bus

Today's trip with the kindergarteners started with waiting around in the hallway for the busses because they showed up late. Then getting soaked in the pouring rain while boarding them. Then sitting on the bus with all the windows fogged up as we bounced along in the rain.

So far so good.

When we got to the children's museum everyone masked up, which made sense, but considering the humidity really felt uncomfortable. The place was too crowded to really engage with the exhibits. I have taken children on trips here many times over the last several years, but this was unfortunately not one of my more enjoyable visits.

On the plus side, one student I was keeping an eye on had a wonderful time, and I was near enough at hand to see the other one when he bolted away from the group and headed off down the stairs. Not only was I able to catch up with him, but I was even able to successfully redirect him back to the group. We returned with everyone we left with, so I guess that made the trip a success.

And that was the first half of my day. The second half I'm not going to get into.

Afterwards I missed a physical therapy appointment, got the oil changed on one of the cars, spent an extraordinary amount on one bag of groceries, and dropped the other car off at the shop to get some work done.

Now it's 6 o'clock and time for bed.
