Rose Festival

It’s Rose Festival week in Portland, a celebration of our city’s abundant and beautiful roses. Today was the Junior Parade, billed as the biggest children’s parade in the country. I’m not sure about that, but they did have a fair share of marching bands.  Steph and I went with Gus and Wattie, who paid little attention to the parade, but a lot of attention to the street vendors. They had their share of cotton candy and souvenirs and then we headed home. The day was beautiful and the boys had fun with their friends, so I would call the experience a positive one!
Grateful for…the gorgeous roses everywhere we look right now….falafel pita for dinner….
