Quiet office day getting nearly to the bottom of my inbox and To Do list. After yesterday’s beautiful warm sunny evening it threw it down with rain all day…horrid, so it was good to be just ploughing through with a stream of cups of tea to keep me going!
Early evening V came over and we went for supper with A&N to Tuk Tuk Indian restaurant which was delicious (especially the railway lamb, black dahl and samosa chaat). We hadn’t told V what we were doing for the evening so she was delighted and surprised when we revealed that we were going to see Sunshine on Leith at the Kings. It was a very different production from the last time she and I saw it at the Festival Theatre, and great to have all the musicians on stage and much more part of the play. They were all so full of energy and played and sang really well. I agreed with the critic who’d said they hadn’t got the sound balance right when they were at Pitlochry Theatre, and had hoped they’d have read that and adjusted it by now, but that’s a small quibble since overall it was a great evening and we had a good sing along at the end.
Dropped her home then we all went straight to bed. Fun evening.
