Beaver Police

Two days ago had been having another phone conversation with the electricity company about who is going to clear the beaver damaged trees. The local work crew know exactly who ought to do it, but the official map of garden contractors boundary responsibility was drawn up by an IT specialist in HQ with no idea of local conditions.

So when this morning Angie said there were some hi viz dressed people at the bottom of the field, I assumed it was the contractors. Wrong, it was the police searching for evidence after receiving an official complaint against unknown person(s) for demolishing a beaver dam with potential €50,000 fine and/or 3 years jail sentence.

Had a long, long chat & have been asked to send in all the photos & videos I have, albeit videos are not liked by the courts apparently! We will be getting official requests for witness statements.
