Lake's Entrance

After a chilly and wet day of travel, we decided to make the most of some temporary sun, and take in the majesty of Lake's Entrance.

I'm not sure what it's like on a calm day, but with a bit (but not too much) weather behind it, magnificent!

The children spent more than an hour chasing the waves, and returned to the car, soaked, sandy and with sprits uplifted.

The rest of the journey was more of yesterday, every stop cold and miserable, and we arrived at our destination exhausted. But quickly rejuvenated by the warm welcome and delicious dinner waiting for us.
