The Alauna Aura

This 8ft tall sculpture stands at the corner of Maryport’s South Quay. The work of art showcases the town’s history from the founding of the Roman settlement of Alauna. At night, the entire sculpture cycles through a range of colours forming an ethereal glow.  It was quite bracing out there.   Certainly blew the cobwebs away.
