A moody view of Ulva Ferry

Today we visited Ulva Isle - named apparently from the old word for wolves.

We woke to reasonable weather, so decided to chance the short (less than 5 minutes) ferry trip over to Ulva.  We didn't see any wolves.  We did find the community dump, with some rather nice old Esse stoves (1st extra), and some "past their best" early purple orchids.

We took a short walk, but W wasn't feeling very well (he's developing a cold, I think), and it started to drizzle, so we cut it short.  He returned to The Boathouse Cafe for a cup of tea, I popped in to Sheila's cottage, and when I made it to the cafe, we had a late lunch.  A lovely plate of local langoustines, with dips of sage butter and a salsa sauce.

The return trip to Mull was more bumpy than on the way out - the sea had responded to the increasing wind by getting a little choppy.

A quiet evening, a little packing, and a last photo of some of the Treshnish Herdwick sheep in front of the setting sun (2nd extra)
