Gerber That Didn't Die....
These flowers were a gift to me over 10 years ago when I was visiting family in New Jersey. They were from my cousins wife, Rochelle when I was visiting my Aunt Midge. I brought them home on a plane and kept them alive for many, many years, blooming magnificent red flowers.
Last year I thought I had lost them. Half of the roots died, and half of a stalk where flowers came from. I cared for them ever so delicately the rest of the summer, fall and winter. This spring the green leaves came back. As you can see thy are very green and very plentiful . I don't know if they will bloom, and I hope they will.
Just in case they are too old and don't, I am going shopping this spring for more Gerber's!!!
