Catmint …….

…. With Painted Lady butterfly. The first I have seen since 2019, which was a bonanza year for this migratory species.

I had gone to Arley to get a few more plants, and had a walk around the Gardens before heading to the Nursery. Seeing this caused me to add catmint to my purchases.

Extra - of the sculptures on display I like this (L’Heure by Canadian David Altmejd) best, it is particularly weird on close inspection. ‘A perfect object for me’, he says, is something that is extremely seductive and extremely repulsive at the same time’.
