Woodland Burial Ground

Today we said a final farewell to our very long term friend and neighbour Shiela.
Her husband and I were apprentice carpenters together I was in my 3rd year when he started then when they got married the moved into a house about 4 doors away.
She and Moreen got on so well and joined several village organisations together and as we already had children when they had there first Moreen was ready to help and advise.
She died suddenly in her sleep a few weeks ago a terrible shock for her husband and family.
We were the only couple outside the close family invited to the interment at the woodland burial ground and it was lovely, we then went to the church service and onto the pub.
It was great to meet up with the family and other friends and chat about her life.
I did cut the lawns before we went but that’s about it for today
