Cow-itch tree

Because I’ve suffered an allergic reaction on my face I have had to source my blip very locally today. Thankfully the reaction appears to be diminishing under medication. These bushes are just behind our studio in Pevkos and of course I have had to look up the identification of the flower so I wont even pretend to be more knowledgeable than I am though I was tickled by it’s common name.

“Lagunaria patersonia is a species of tree in the family Malvaceae.[1] It is commonly known as the pyramid tree, Norfolk Island hibiscus, Queensland white oak, sally wood,[2] or simply as white oak on Norfolk Island.[3] Its seed capsules are filled with irritating hairs giving rise to common names, itchy bomb tree,[4] and cow itch tree.
