Bird park

Sadly little Mo the magpie didn’t make it. We found him dead in the little nest this morning. No obvious injury so I guess exhaustion, hunger and natural causes combined to end his little life. Not everyone likes magpies but I’m a great fan of the corvids - they are so bright and intelligent and every little living thing deserves a chance.
We spent the day at a wonderful little bird park in the making. Mums gardener/ cleaner R wanted to take us. Run by her brother and his partner they are hoping to open later this year. They have around 70 species and several hundred birds plus a few wallabies. It was really interesting and mum loved it - we will definitely be supporters :)
