Looking down over Volos

We knew rain was forecast but decided to risk it and took a bus to Volos then another to Makrinitsa a picturesque village high in the mountains above Volos. Well as soon as we stepped off the bus it started raining and then became a deluge. We and a few others sheltered in a closed taverna for half an hour and then headed up onto the village. We just had time for a coffee and snack and a quick look around before catching the bus back. There are stunning views from the top and lots more to explore so we decided to return again when the weather is better.

Must remember to pack an umbrella next time we visit Greece. I did consider it but thought l was being silly.
