Watching the game....

....from the warmth of the car....

Penultimate match of the season today, at our home pitch,

So Sarah and the girls came to watch the lads take on one of the top teams in the league....

We played the same team right at the beginning of the season, when we lost 18-2....today we were much more competitive.

With about 10 minutes to go we were trailing 5-4, then unfortunately a combination of some bad luck and a couple of poor refereeing decisions saw us concede three late goals :(

The boys really played out of their skin though and in doing so frustrated the opposition for the majority of the game.

Our Sam scored all 4 of our goals (and did a trademark hat-trick back-flip)....it was so exciting that the girls even gave up the warmth of the car to come to the sidelines to watch and shout encouragement....after taking the photo that is....

By the final whistle....I was one proud (if hoarse) father and manager :):)
