Good growing

This is part of the Community Garden on the island of Westray. There is a wide variety of crops growing and when I walked past this morning two young people were hard at work, weeding or thinning. The project was launched as a 2 year pilot study in 2017 with the aim of cutting food miles and providing fresh fruit and veg for the island, locally grown. Good to see it is still going strong.

I went out on the 7.20am ferry and back on the 6.30pm. With a full day of meter reads to do it was pretty non-stop, but the weather was lovely once again, so I felt very lucky to have a job that involves driving round and visiting such beautiful places.
