Miner's Lettuce

An annual (also known as winter purslane) first brought to N.Z. by Chinese goldminers.  The leaves are a source of Vitamin C and make a tasty addition to winter salads/sanwiches.  Miner's lettuce self seeds readily and pops up in damp spots in the garden every year.
