Beginning of morning civil twilight

This morning I woke up at 4.30 am, looked out of the window and saw that a wonderful day awaited us. The photo was taken at 4.45 a.m., which happens to be the beginning of the morning civil twilight (see link for definitions between astronomical, nautical and civil dawn). 

Sleep was out of the question and so we got up at 5 am, went down to the rowing club house and made a long 16 km round with 2 skiffs.
