Wind Power

It is very windy today and this colourful decoration, one of three outside the Malaysian restaurant in Quartermile, was the only one not birling around like mad in the wind. Next door at the Chinese bubble Tea restaurant, the children’s chairs were scattered on the ground like toys.

The wind propelled the booming sound of the drums and piercing whistles of a huge Orange parade which gathered in the Meadows ready to march into town, no doubt adding to the traffic chaos already present in this part of the city. It seems strange to me that in 2022 we still have the divisive Orange marches featuring large in our lives when with everything else going on in the world , we should all be promoting unity. Perhaps I’m missing something.

I had forgotten how effective Ibuprofen was until I resorted to taking two tablets this morning to enable my poorly ankle to flex without a particular tendon hurting at every step. Hallelujah, the difference was almost magical.
