Viola
All racing cancelled on first day of much anticipated Fife Regatta due to extreme winds and poor visibility.
Viola built at Fairlie in 1908 carries a French ensign and crewed by Gallic characters all very well mannered, friendly and stoic acceptance of Scottish weather.
The name is taken seriously on board with a Viola branded foot mat on the pontoon, a pot of Viola flowers on the transom (look carefully) and last but not least a crew member with extra long sideburns coloured viola purple.
Good luck to this colourful crew when racing eventually gets started tomorrow .
