Pocket plum
Our daughter notice that some of the fruit on the large plum tree in her new garden were a decidedly odd shape and they had no stone.
A quick online search led to a diagnosis of the fungal disease Taphrina pruni or pocket plum. I haven't been able to work out if this will spread to the whole crop. I think in the past one could spray with Bordeaux mixture in spring but this is now banned.
We're hoping it won't spread to the young plum tree nearby.
Any advice gratefully received. I love plum jam!
