Lathkill Dale

A wonderful day in the Peak District visiting my friend S we opted for a new walk, one her daughter had previously done a few days ago on a DOE exercise 

we drove to Over Haddon and descended into the limestone valley of lathkill Dale walked along the beautiful river, it was so clear and the remanence of lead mining works, a few uphill climbs to negotiate and then on top of the escarpment, a stop for ice cream and we finish the walk at the lathkill hotel overlooking the valley for a refreshing beer

Drove home via mum's
