High Tea

It's been a great day! G had a plan which included having a full English breakfast to start the day, and that should take us nicely through to 4 PM for our small Platinum Jubilee High Tea. It was small with just four people,  then last night, Cath sent a message to say her husband had tested positive for COVID, so she is now in quarantine for five days.

I spent the morning getting the flat into shape - vacuuming (after ages), and dusting, and finishing the decorations. G prepared all the food. The chocolate-coated strawberries were a first for her. They were delicious, as were the sandwiches! Diane thoroughly enjoyed her afternoon. We downed two bottles of Prosecco in as many hours!

We were both shattered at the end of it all. It was good to relax in the evening, watching the Australian movie "Paper Planes". I've included the collage I prepared as my extra. It is specific to us as it has pictures of when Queen Elizabeth visited the UAE in 1979 and 2010.
