Sari-sari Stores

All over the country, these sari-sari (meaning- of different kinds) stores can be found everywhere, be it a street corner or a narrow alley, by the roadside out in the country or even way up in the mountains. These are our version of convenience stores. Most of what is sold are in tiny packets and if what you need are just two tomatoes, a chili pepper or a bar of soap, this is the place to go. A drive to the grocery store is unecessary since there will most likely be one these somewhere in your neighborhood.
