The big day

Well I was very relieved to wake up this morning with just a bruised nose and no black eyes. Jill and I were picked up and taken to the hairdressers. I have never laughed so much in my whole life. My hair was ok but not as nice as when Claire does it for me but Jill had an up do and in her words 'it looks like a seagull has landed on my head'. To top it all we were charged 65 dollars plus 5 dollars tip for the privilege. We both put it down to experience and everyone got ready for the wedding. On the way we stopped off for a tour at the Motown museum. We were a source of entertainment for the Americans who loved the way we were all dressed up, guys in tuxedos and girls in their posh dresses. One woman thanked us for bringing them downton abbey. The wedding went off without a hitch. The bride looked beautiful and Julie looked amazing too. Cocktail hour was fab and the food was amazing. Drinks were free all night and the food was great. A good time was had by all.
