Pals

Yesterday I said goodbye to the family at lunchtime then headed to Yorkshire in the evening after P had finished his day at college.  We've been asked to be godparents to baby D and today was his Christening ceremony.

We did check with S and M that they wanted us to be godparents, seeing how we don't really believe in God but they seemed happy with us anyway!  Our plan is to help Baby D where we can with the ethical, moral and emotional guidance, and maybe when he's old enough I can have an honest chat with him about why I've never found theodices convincing. (That's something to look forward to baby D!!!)

It was lovely to catch up with friends and spend time hanging out. This picture is strictly speaking taken by P, but I'm including it as my blip as I set up the camera and just told him to press the button multiple times.  Us pals have known each other since school and we don't get to meet up that often, and when we do it's often S who brings us all together which is just one of her brilliant qualities.  Back up north tomorrow!
