Red Valerian and ferns in the narrow garden.
The Feast Day of Saint Anthony of Padua. Patron Saint who helps with people or things that are lost. Very efficacious Saint.
This blip is taken in the evening at about 9 : 30pm.
Being Monday, it was our wash day. The weather was decent, sunny and white clouds with blue sky, but as our back garden is so small and narrow, all the drying has to be done indoors. Thankfully the washer dryer is efficient and has a good variety of cycles to select from. The recyclers emptied the glass and plastic bin.
It has been a worrying day. I am sure good things happened elsewhere alongside our day!
Yesterday evening our cat Arthur started suddenly dripping blood from his mouth.
It was distressing. I called a friend who has knowledge about caring for cats. I also Googled the condition.
There were several possible causes and no sign of a cut or injury.
So this evening at 6:30pm I travelled with Arthur to the Vet and waited in the car while Paul went with Arthur into the waiting room to attend his appointment. I find it difficult to be in a small enclosed space with dogs. I don't dislike them but the possibility of sudden loud barks, triggers my anxiety.
The Vet thinks Arthur has an infection but is not sure where in Arthur's body it is located. An injection of anti biotics was given, and we learnt Arthur has lost 20% of his body weight since the previous weighing.
On Wednesday Paul is taking Arthur back to see the Vet and decisions will be made.
Exploratory tests are very expensive, about £600. It is not easy to face what is around the corner and emotionally, it is a tough time for all three of us. Arthur has been with us since 2012. He is a kind loveable soul.
Arthur has only two bottom teeth so it is not easy for him to eat. He also sneezes sometimes in close succession, and that causes his eye to weep.
All in all, it is a very serious scenario.
Thanks for visiting and any prayers are very welcome.
