First rays

Of sunshine shining on the far side of the Torridge valley. Up early again I headed out onto the commons pre-breakfast and before auntie required any help. The birdsong is still quite stunning and varied as parents dash between food sources and their nests full of growing offspring. A family of song thrushes were almost oblivious to me as I walked past them on the narrow path, a squadron of swifts screeched high up as they flashed past. A wonderful time of day.
