Six cygnets swimming

Swans on the canal, feeding energetically; had to pay attention to get a shot with both adult heads up. 

We walked along the canal to the Water of Leith visitor center; crossed over to the river walk and went towards Colinton.  Approaching the tunnel we met someone with a friendly black labrador who said that the path was closed between where we were and the closer end of the Colinton tunnel, so we went through to the Lauder Road and found a 44 bus back into town. Will investigate the tunnel another day.
