Observatory in Raining

Sorry that I didn't upload photos on Blip for more than a week. I was soooo busy last week. Once I access to blipfoto, I know I would stay here for a while.

My son and I joined an observation event at Kazan Observatory of Kyoto University last Saturday. We were supposed to observe Jupiter and the moon there on the night, but it started to rain from the evening....ummm. Well, they already prepared lectures and tour of the whole observatory. It was fun anyway.

The Observatory is classical style and the third biggest one on in Japan. Look at the wooden dorm roof. It was constructed by a dockyard since there was no other constructor in Japan in 1920's.

Probably we will join the event in July. I hope it will be clear night.
