Swallowtail Butterflies ….

…. were everywhere on the top of the ridge (extra) returning from the Col de Balme back down to Balme today. (Apparently they are the rarest of British butterflies). They fly so quickly, drinking nectar for a few seconds then off they go again. It was great to see the Dents du Midi from a completely different side, also in the extra, and we were so close to the Dents Blanches too. A superb walk that I had never done before.
