Up on the roof...
Tommy the roofer's latest update photos.
They are making good progress with the roof and what a difference to see completed sections. It makes us realise how much a new roof was needed.
He's also making good progress removing the paint from the copes and quoins and restoring the natural sandstone. The chimneys and the front of the house are almost complete. Once done he will start on the copes and quoins at the back. He's also suggested that while he works on the back of the house, our painter could use the scaffolding at the front to start painting the house. Very sensible. Coincidentally the painter we use, Billy, passed the house yesterday and phoned D in the afternoon to ask if he would be able to start painting the front and make use of the scaffolding for some awkward high points, so it's all working out nicely :-)
Tommy also handed in another box of cakes from his daughter's shop but I put them straight through to the Team's fridge for them to enjoy :-)
Spent the afternoon in the studio finishing off my commission. It is now mounted and framed although I may tweak it slightly tomorrow morning as some silver lettering is only visible in certain light. I will probably change it to white.
Sent photos and a short video of it to Shona and she is delighted with it. Phew! :-)
